Ever since I was a little girl, the moon and the stars
have always fascinated me. There is something magical about the darkness, a
clear sky, shiny stars and bright moon. Looking up above in the middle of the
night is one of my favourite things to do. I often get lost in thought when I
look up at the sky.
The stars remind me of the special and dear people that I
hold close to my heart. Some are shining brightly in real life and others are
up there shining like diamonds in the sky.
The moon brings the people who are far away close to me.
When I was living abroad my uncle always told me to look up at the moon. No
matter the distance, we would always see the same moon and I could always feel
his love.
This last couple of weeks, and especially days, has been
tough. The moon and stars can’t always fill the void that is left behind. I
think that this time of year will always be difficult, but I am confidant
that time will heal my heart, slowly but surely.
No matter where you are, we always have the same moon.
I’ll be looking up tonight and hope that you know how much you’re loved and
being missed…
