Today is one of those days with huge ups and downs for me. I started the day dreading it and thought that it would never end. But as I the day proceeded, it wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. This reminds me that I have to embrace every aspect of life, because that’s just the way life works.
Mister Mahatma Gandhi, one of the few icons that I have, said it best:
'Where there is love, there is life.'
If you have ever dealt with loss in your life, you know that it is hard to be the one that is left behind on earth. The missing of a loved one is not easy to say the least. What we need to do during these moments is to remind ourselves that the love that we have for these people will keep them alive in our hearts.
Don’t waste time wishing you could turn back time, trust me this won’t take you anywhere. Reality is that they’re gone and nothing can or will change this. You need to keep on going even if the missing part still hurts. As time proceeds, there will be a moment when you look back and the pain will be gone. You will always miss your loved one(s), but the special moments that you’ve once shared will keep them alive in your heart and soul.
It is not an easy journey, but I don’t think that life is supposed to be easy. We take it one step at a time. And whenever we have those ‘bad days', just keep remind yourself: Where there is love, there is life!
Love,
Bao-Nhi
