You can have more than one 'the one'

Despite of the heat wave that is going on in the Netherlands, the summer is coming to an end for most Dutchies as study and working life is about to start again. I don't know if the end of summer is the reason, but many people around me are going through breakups. All I can say is: yes, it might suck now, but it will be okay!

I totally agree with Elizabeth Aston (see image). When you're in 'love' everything seems perfect and once you lose this, you might think that your world is coming to an end. Somehow you'll get over it and when you do manage to find a new love, that previous love doesn't seem that perfect anymore. Funny how life works, doesn't it?

I've mentioned before that I'm very careful when it comes to using the words 'I love you'. I've only shared these words with one person in my life, but that was a while ago. Will I ever be able to use them again? I honestly don't know. I'm okay with it if I never get to say them again, because God has blessed me already by showing what the true meaning is of these words. I know that there are people out there who go through life without experiencing this, so I really have nothing to complain about.

Does this mean that I believe that there's only one 'the one' out there for everybody? Definitely not. I believe that there's another mister right out there for me. I'm just saying that I'm okay with it if our paths won't able to cross each others.

To my friends who's hearts are aching at the moment: this too shall pass!

"Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Much love,
Bao-Nhi
